This journey blends China's ancient history with an immersive outdoor adventure in the south. You will begin in Xi'an, marveling at the Terracotta Warriors and even crafting your own clay souvenir. Traveling to Chengdu, you will explore panda habitats and witness the awe-inspiring Leshan Giant Buddha.
The adventure shifts gears in Guilin and Yangshuo, where you will swap museums for the great outdoors. Experience rock climbing, raft building, and a bamboo forest hike, followed by a traditional Kung Fu class and a cooking lesson using fresh local ingredients. It is a perfect mix of cultural heritage and active exploration.

ARRIVAL XI'AN
You will be met at the airport by our guide and transferred to a hotel in central Xi’an. Gather for a welcome dinner and program orientation. Today you will have an opportunity to rest and recover from the long flight.

XI'AN HIGHLIGHTS
After breakfast, we will drive to visit the magnificent Qin Terra-cotta Army. It was built in about 2500 years ago and contains more than 6000 warriors, soldiers and horses. UNESCO listed it in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages, and then the Terracotta Warriors Factory where you can make your own Warriors to take home as a souvenir.

XI'AN - CHENGDU
After breakfast, begins our tour with a bicycle ride along the Ancient City Wall, the most complete city wall in China. The original foundation was based on the ruins of the Imperial City Wall of Chang’an City, the capital of the Tang Dynasty, known today asXi’an. Though the wall has been entirely renovated, it still resonates with history.0
Followed by a stroll with our guide in the Muslim Quarter and the visit to the Big Mosque, where the way of life is markedly different from the traditions of the Han Chinese. For over 1,300 years, since the Tang Dynasty (A.D. 618 - 907), Muslims have been an integral part of daily life inXi'an, the beginning of the Silk Road.
We will enjoy Shadow Puppet show in Gao’s family. It is an ancient form of storytelling and entertainment using opaque figures in front of an illuminated backdrop to create the illusion of moving images.
After lunch, visit Shannxi History Museum. The Shanxi History Museum's permanent exhibition primarily displays Shaanxi's ancient history. Representative pieces from all periods have been selected to show the development of civilization in this region.
At the end of visit, transfer to Railway station to take an overnight train to Chengdu.

Your guide and driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to downtown Chengdu, check in the hotel.
This afternoon we will have a city tour, which includes visit People’s Park & Kuanzhai Alleys. Commonly known as “People’s Park” this lively open green space in southwest Chengdu is full of exactly that: Famous for its popular teahouse where locals will often linger all day, people playing cards, people doing tai chi, people dancing and people squawking karaoke into microphones. Simply put, People’s Park is a people watcher’s dream.
Open from dawn to the wee hours of the morning, the admission is free and the atmosphere is unique. On one visit you may be swept up by the energy of an impromptu dance session whereas on a separate day you could be sitting in bamboo chair drinking tea and be offered to have your ears cleaned by an elderly ear-cleaning vendor.-

We will drive about 2 hours to visit the Buddha Statue by boat. The looming Leshan Giant Buddha is a Tang dynasty (618-907 AD) relic that is the largest carved stone Buddha in the world at 71 meters. The Buddha, build in AD 713 by a Chinese monk named Haitong to calm the river waters, was crafted from a cliff face. It seems that so much stone from the carving process fell into the river below that it did indeed calm the area’s waters. While often crowded with tourists and battling the effects of pollution, Leshan is nevertheless an exquisite UNESCO world heritage site that is not to be missed for its impressive size and beautiful surrounding area. Then go back to Chengdu, this evening we will watch the famous Face Change Show. Quite different from Peking Opera - which is perhaps one of the most internationally-known types of Chinese operas - and even more so different from Verdi or Puccini, Sichuan opera is distinguished by the "face changing" technique originally achieved by blowing off the chalk of one painted mask to reveal another below. Elaborate acrobatic stunts, sharp wit and lively characters are hallmarks of Sichuan Opera.

CHENGDU - GUILIN - CAMPSITE
Take a morning flight to Guilin Airport, upon arrival, directly take 1.5hrs drive to Yangshuo. And then arrive in the campsite which is located out of the town on the riverside. Follow the camping coaches to build up the camping tents. Own-cooked dinner by teams. Bonfire party.

Get up and fresh up, own-cooked breakfast by teams. After breakfast, clean the camp site. For this day, we arrange a Chinese cooking class, which lasts for about 3 hours. It begins with going to the local food market to buy ingredients for your cooking class. Then cook 2 or 3 popular Chinese dishes under the guidance of an English-speaking tutor, and the taste fruits of your labor at the end.
Orienteering by teams among Yangshuo’s beautiful mountains in the afternoon. Have dinner near West Street and free time on the West Street.

We will first drive to Fenglou and start our hiking along the Yulong river to the Jiuxian Village, explore the ancient buildings and houses there.
The Yulong River is a tributary of the Li River. The entire length of the Yulong River is 43 kilometers. You will hike the most beautiful part of it, from Yulong Bridge to Yangshuo Mountain Retreat (about 4–5 hours). People regarded the scenery along the river as another Shangri-La as it is so green and breathtakingly beautiful. On the way, you will see rice fields with seasonal crops growing in them, farmers’ orchards with oranges, grapefruits, and persimmons, crystal clear water, and stone bridges over the river. It is a nice place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This afternoon, learn farm work from the local farmer and hare a farm work competition. Enjoy a BBQ dinner in the evening.

1. Before you pay deposit to book the tour, we haven’t made any reservation yet. The train, flight tickets and the hotel may different from the itinerary listed.
2. The visiting order of the scenic spots in the itinerary may change according to the traffic condition and other unforeseen things.
3. Tourist insurance is a must before going, please provide us the confirmation of insurance company when sign up.
The price includes
1. Entrance Fees: to scenic spots as listed in the itinerary
2. All the activities fee mentioned in the itinerary: Hutong rickshaw in Beijing; Sichuan Opera show in Chengdu;
3. Private Transfers: Transfers between airports, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing during the trip by private air conditioned vehicle with a driver.
4. Meals: All meals as indicated in the itinerary (B-breakfast, L-lunch, D-dinner), include Peking duck dinner in Beijing; Hot pot dinner in Chengdu.

Payment conditions
To confirm your reservation, you must pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount due via the payment link that your local agent will share. The balance is due 30 days prior to departure. The quoted exchange rate is valid for the next 7 days – if the deposit is not paid within this time, the quote will be re-calculated.
Terms and conditions for cancelation
i. Cancellation of the Tour by CAT (local agent):
CAT reserve the right to cancel the postpone tour at any time up to the date final payment is due under the following condition: in our opinion, health and/or safety factors related to conditions in China would make the tour inadvisable. And in this case, all money paid by the participants will be refunded. If the tour is postponed, CAT will offer all those who have signed up the opportunity to have the same tour for a later time, but the price may be changed according to the season. We will notify you of any change, and give you a reasonable period
of time to make your decision. Consumers may, but are under no obligation to, take the tour under these new terms. After final payment has been made, we may cancel the tour only if, in our opinion, health and/or safety factors related to conditions in China would make the tour inadvisable. Since cancellation in this case involves factors which may arise suddenly and are entirely outside our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest and epidemic disease, we cannot guarantee a full refund in this case. This is because payment will already have been made to finalize the arrangements and reservation.
ii. Cancellation of the Tour by Consumer:
Any cancellation must be made by sending an email to the local agent. The cancellation fee varies according to how many days prior to departure the cancellation is made:
· More than 30 days prior to departure: 5% of the total holiday cost
· Between 30 and 22 days prior to departure : 25% of the total holiday cost
· Between 21 and 8 days prior to departure : 50% of the total holiday cost
· Between 7 and 3 days prior to departure : 75% of the total holiday cost
· Less than 3 days prior to departure and after the departure date: 100% of the total holiday cost
All cancellations must be in writing and will be effective upon receipt by CAT. No refund will be made to those participants who break the journey regardless of the portions of the package unused. If, owing to serious illness or injury, the participant withdraws from the tour, a refund will be subject to the consent of the local travel agent.
No refund will be made to those participants who have failed to secure valid travel documents such as passport or visas.
