Advice for Tipping
We noticed that our customers tend to tip the tour guides and drivers for outstanding services, and the amount of your tip should be based on your gratitude towards the guides and drivers. The suggested amount is CNY60/per person/per day for the guide, and CNY30 for the driver to be given separately. But of course, a more generous offering is always welcomed if you are exceedingly pleased with their services.
In China, it is common for travelers to tip tour guides, drivers and bellboys for their excellent service. It is not very common to leave tips at hotels and local restaurants as the bills usually includes 10-15% service charge already.
